The Addiction : The Magic Color Combos

During winter, your wardrobe can quickly become stale. We're in the middle of winter, the skies are gray and cloudy, and you've been wearing cold weather clothes for months now. Nevertheless, spring is still weeks away, so what can you do to freshen up your everyday wardrobe? Using color! Your outfit's liveliness, effervescence, and joy isn't just determined by one dramatic pop of color. It's also determined by how you pair colors.

There are many clients who have a nice amount of color in their closets, but they are hesitant to combine them in unusual ways. The 6 color combinations below will always work, so you'll look stylishly cool (and hot!) no matter how dreary the weather gets.

NAVY & ORANGE

Combining navy and orange with modern shapes adds a lot of impact to a traditional nautical color combination. A bold, solid block of color can do wonders to increase the impact of a look - like an orange trench over navy separates or a dark blue dress with orange booties.

BLUSH & BURGUNDY

Wearing burgundy with blush is unexpected this fall/winter, since it has now become a neutral. The combination of blush and burgundy may seem spring-like, but it creates a sophisticated look (see other uncommon burgundy color combinations here).

You can reduce the intensity of one (or both) color in an outfit if you're nervous about wearing two colors together. Adding lace, eyelet, tweed, etc. to a fabric can add shadows and allow you to tone it down.

GREEN & YELLOW

You can make yourself stand out by adding yellow and green to your design! Remember that accessories can add just as much vitality to your outfits as yellow and green items hanging in your closet.

BLUE & PINK

It may be tempting to think of a gender reveal party when I mention blue and pink - but don't! In my opinion, the best combination is medium to dark blues worn with shades of hot pink. Choosing specific tones based on your personal preference is great about these colors - you can't go wrong.

You can also find prints that combine the colors you like if you're not confident in your combination. You can choose accents that emphasize the pairing after the hard work has been done for you.

RED & FUCHSIA

You can consciously (or subconsciously) choose a warm or cool combo when choosing colors for your wardrobe. The combination of red and fuchsia is a warm and appealing mix that always attracts attention. It's bold, it's daring, and it says, “I'm a fan of color! ”

YELLOW & GREY

A neutral base and a bright accent can create a smart and chic color combination. Combining colors isn't always about pairing intense hues. My favorite combination is gray and yellow, especially for clients who prefer grey but are open to trying a 'pop' of color. You can incorporate a pop color into your wardrobe by following these tips.
